Our episode 14 features McGill Professor/Media figure Daniel Beland, who is an expert on local politics and the history of Canada.

So how well do you know your own province and country?

Who are the founders of Canada? Whose land do we live on? Is it true that The USA tried to take over Canada? If so, why did they do that and is it true some Francophones wanted to become Americans? If they would have become Americans, would the French language be thriving in our city as it currently is with 92 percent able to speak it according to recent studies?

I also asked him some fun rapid fire questions about his favorite restaurants, coolest places he has travelled to. And the big question...if Professor Beland could be the Premiere of Quebec, what would he do/change to improve it? Some of his answers just might surprise you.
